MAPLE radio 007 - the whooligan (soulection) - always moving forward v2

Our latest audio installment comes from Brooklyn-based artist and producer Julio Galvez aka The Whooligan – current director of worldwide bookings and partnerships for Los Angeles’ Soulection. A veteran of the dance and club scene coast to coast, The Whooligan's sprawling musical vernacular has led to creative partnerships with Vince Staples, Mac Miller, DJ A-Trak, The Internet, Little Dragon, and De La Soul - just to name drop a few. His penchant as an international selector has also earned him collaboration with brands such as MTV, VICE, Def Jam Recordings, Nike, PUMA, Soundcloud and more.

Perhaps his greatest ripple in the arena’s of music and culture culminate in his humanitarian organization, Room Service International. A group founded by The Whooligan that aims to “amplify stories and important issues from underprivileged and impoverished regions from all the world.”

The Whooligan’s unique perspective and keen ear are evident in our latest MAPLE Radio mix titled “Always Moving Forward V2’. From the first minute you can feel his inclination towards a steady stream of head nodding house coupled with funk and soul perculating under the surface with a smooth restraint. As we live in a world more divided than ever, Always Moving Forward V2 represents our continuous intentions to make people come together, loosen up and just have a good time.
